International Lawyers for Africa (ILFA), recently held a two-day African Legal Counsel forum in Nairobi, Kenya, from February 10 -12, 2020,themed ‘Gaining Perspective – Enhancing the Effectiveness of African Corporate and Government Lawyers’.
The two-day ILFA capacity- building summit, was aimed at uniting and elevating the African in-house legal community through discussion, cooperation and networking with a premium audience
of peers, where senior inhouse counsel meet and discuss hot topics, in an exclusive and dedicated forum, exchanging ideas on workplace practices within established and respected in-house teams, gain knowledge and insight from leading international in-house counsel, as they discussed their greatest challenges and best practice approaches.
There were discussions and debates centred on what the future holds for Africa based in-house counsel, with first-hand experiences on new approaches, differentiators and concepts from legal thought-leaders.
